How to Get to Release Sofia
Release Sofia takes place at Airport Park, next to Sofia International Airport, making the festival easily accessible both from the city and for visitors travelling from abroad.
By Metro
Sofia Airport is directly connected to the city centre by Metro Line 4. The journey from central Sofia takes approximately 25–30 minutes, making the metro one of the easiest ways to reach the festival area.
By Car
Airport Park is easily accessible by car via Sofia’s main road network and the routes serving Sofia Airport.
By Taxi
Taxis provide direct access from central Sofia and other parts of the city to the airport area.
By Plane
For international visitors, Sofia Airport is located right next to the festival site, offering direct connections with numerous European destinations and exceptionally convenient access to Release Sofia.
Detailed information regarding festival entrances, pedestrian routes, parking and any special transport arrangements will be announced before the festival.
GETTING HOME AFTER THE SHOW
Additional late-night public transportation services are planned in coordination with Sofia’s Urban Mobility Centre for each festival event.
Depending on the date, these may include:
- Extended metro operating hours.
- Additional bus services connecting Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 with the city.
- Adjusted departure times and frequencies to accommodate festival visitors.
We strongly recommend checking the arrangements for your specific festival day and planning your return journey in advance, as large crowds are expected to leave the venue after the show.
